Going to Church - A Waste of Time ???

Most of today's teenagers and youth consider going to church a waste of time.

They say they have many more important things to do than to sit in church and waste their precious 2hrs.

"What is there more important?" I asked my son one day. He said that he had important things to do and refused to say anything more.
But this is what they do don't they?

a - catch up with lost sleep
b - do something useful on Facebook
c - meet up with friends
d - catch up on the missed tv
programmes
e - go out after 11pm to meet friends
and come back home after 5 or 6am.

Youth nowadays fail to realise that being in the Presence of God is more important than anything else in the world. It supercedes everything else.

A kidney dialysis patient sits for a few hours getting dialysis done. He does not say it is a waste of time because he knows that it is important for him to live.

A cancer patient does not complain that going for chemotherapy is a waste of time because he/she knows that in order to live that is very important.

So likewise, being in the atmosphere of God, helps to cleanse us. Furthermore praising and worshipping Him with believers helps put the devil far far away from us. Remember the devil flees when he hears us thanking and praising and worshipping God in Jesus name. We are being recharged spiritually and what more is more important than that.

So my advise to all youth is this :-
Please do not wait until you are sick and cannot walk and have to rely on others to pray for you. By that time, it may be too late. Many realise it too late and wish someone had guided them in their youth. Give your time, youth and vigour to God now and He will bless it a million fold and give it back to you. Remember that with God all impossible things become possible.
